Set yourself up for a lifelong sustainable practice. This weekend workshop is a deep dive into customizing your practice, your alignment & your health. With these tools, you can prevent & reverse injuries for the rest of your life, laying the foundation for advanced Asana practice to flourish & evolve into the deeper aspects of Yoga.

Through a dedicated and innovative practice of Ashtanga Yoga & Yoga Therapy, Bryce Delbridge (500 E-RYT, YACEP, C-IAYT) was able to overcome a severe case of adolescent scoliosis, avoid a total spinal fusion, and finally become pain free. Through this experience, Bryce has developed a unique insight into the use of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga as a deep healing modality. Bryce can assist in safely and effectively addressing injuries while taking your practice to the next level. No Ashtanga or Yoga experience is necessary. Beginners, as well as individuals suffering from pain or repetitive use injuries, are highly encouraged to attend. Bryce is masterful at helping you to pinpoint the sources of your imbalances, aches, pains, and injuries, providing the tools you need to correct them in your practice. He has helped thousands of people around the world become pain-free with his expertise. Even if you are not currently experiencing any pain or injuries, Bryce’s workshop will be a treasure trove of information on customizing your practice, making it sustainable for life.

Friday Evening May 9th: 2 hours 5:30pm -7:30pm
Fundamentals, Injuries & Customization
Covering the basic theory, movements & practices to set yourself up for a sustainable life long yoga practice. Here, we cover the necessary practices to undo the negative side effects of all strengthening routines, cover practices to get out of pain, reverse current injuries, prevent future injuries & workshop on specific asanas requested by each attendee. This will be a treasure trove of information pertinent to your body & how to get the most out of the weekend.

Saturday Afternoon May 10th, 12pm -1:30
Myofascial Release
Here we learn a most valuable & lifelong tool for releasing full body tension & stress - Therapeutic Self Massage via therapy balls. This practice provides immediate pain relief & is the primary tool for undoing the negative side effects of becoming too strong too quickly. No one knows you better than you do & no one knows where you carry stress better than you do, who better to give yourself a massage and navigate your trigger points better than you?

Sunday Morning May 11th: 2.5 hours 11am -1:30pm
Yang to Yin + Pranayama
This practice is a full spectrum, holistic asana practice. From warm to cool, stimulation to relaxation, the entire range of the nervous system will be explored all while tailoring the warm ups, asana sequence & cues to the needs of the participants. This will be a workshop style asana practice, spending time talking & practicing nuanced alignment personalized to your body, finishing with Pranayama taught in the system of Sri B.N.S. Iyengar (of Mysore, India - the birthplace of Ashtanga). This pranayama practice calms the mind, clears the nadis & induces a deep state of relaxation and trance, then gently floating into a restful, guided meditation.
